What is beard oil?
Damn Yankee beard oil is a blend of organic oils including jojoba, argan, sweet almond and coconut, and broccoli seed oils. They are scented using either fragrance oils or essential oils.
Why do I need to use beard oil?
A healthy beard starts with healthy skin. Beard oil keeps your skin moisturized and primed for optimal beard growth. Beard oil also relieves dry, itchy skin and beardruff.
Will beard oil make my beard grow faster or stronger?
In a word, no. The growth rate and fullness of your beard is determined mostly by your genetics. But, using beard oil regularly and keeping your body healthy will give you the best beard possible. For your best beard:
- Don’t smoke
- Eat healthy and exercise
- Stay hydrated
- Get plenty of sleep
How do I apply beard oil?
After a shower while your beard is still damp, dispense several drops of oil into the palm of your hand. Rub your palms together and work the oil into the skin under your beard. Style as usual.
What’s the difference between fragrance oil and essential oil?
Fragrance oils are synthetic blends usually found in bath and body products. Essential oils are distilled from natural sources. Both are perfectly safe for use in beard oil.
How long will the fragrance last?
It depends on the product, but in general, from a couple hours to all day. Fragrance oils generally last longer.
How long will a bottle of beard oil last?
It depends on how much you use. Longer beards typically require more product. In general, a 1oz. bottle should last a couple months.
Nut allergy issues?
All of Damn Yankee’s products contain tree nuts in some form, but we’d be happy to make you a product free of tree nut allergens. Just let us know if you have allergies.

Beard Balm FAQ
What is beard balm?
Damn Yankee beard balm is our blend of organic oils and we add pure shea butter and natural beeswax. They are scented using either fragrance oils or essential oils.
Why do I need to use beard balm?
Beard hair is coarse and difficult to style. You need a balm to show your beard who’s boss. After you shower and apply beard oil, use beard balm to style your beard and help control any stray hairs.
How do I apply beard balm?
Open the tin and use the back of your fingernail to scoop out a dime-sized amount of balm. Place the balm into the palm of your hand and rub your hands together, melting the balm. Run your hands over your beard, working the balm into the hair. Style as usual.

Beard Wash FAQ
What is beard wash?
Damn Yankee beard wash is a blend of organic jojoba oil, pure liquid castile soap, distilled water and fragrance – either essential oils or fragrance oils.
Why can’t I use regular shampoo?
Commercial shampoo strips your beard of the natural oils which help keep it from drying out. Damn Yankee Beard Wash is specifically designed to keep the natural oils in your beard while giving it a deep cleaning. Beard wash should be used 1-3 times per week as needed.
How do I apply beard wash?
Dispense a small amount of beard wash from the bottle into your hands and work the lather into your beard thoroughly. Rinse with cool water.
