Behind the scenes at Damn Yankee, we’ve been quietly searching for a signature scent for years. We found it in a French cologne formulation from 1917. The bones of a chypre (sheep-rah) are Bergamot on top, a floral middle, and Oakmoss, Labdanum, and Patchouli on the bottom. All of these are tried and true notes in a men’s fragrance. Nothing about Legacy is contemporary. This is how a Damn Yankee scent should smell.
